hp ups t1000xr and windows 2000 shutdown

Hi. Sorry if i'm being offtopic, but there is no forum for UPS :)

I have HP T1000 XR UPS, connected to an old PC, running Windows 2000 SP4. I tried using shutdown feature from HP Power manager v4.2, but it only gets to the screen "It's now safe to turn off...". The same result with connecting UPS to another machine, and using Remote agent v4.0 on target machine.

However, the PC can do graceful shutdowns without any problem, either clicking "shutdown" in Windows, or just pushing power button. But probably HPPM calls that procedure differently. I also remember having two options for shutdown in APC software, "shutdown" vs "shutdown and off", but I don't see anything similar here.

Same result with manager version 3.1.
