iLO or IP KVM switch
I'm trying to design new data center layout and got somewhat confused when trying to investigate "remote control" options; is IP KVM switch sufficient for general support or does ILO supply more options (or maybe combination â however pricy â would be the best way out) Iâ m fairly new to most of this stuff and would like to get some advice before making my purchases.
Thanks,
Thanks,

Re: iLO or IP KVM switch
Andrew,
Need more information... Your message is garbled (see above)
Depending on whoose IP KVM solution you may be deploying, this may be sufficient. What kind of servers do you have and what king of remote access do you want?
Another option is a good firewall that has VPN capabilities.

Re: iLO or IP KVM switch
IP KVM let you just see maximum boot sequence, ILO let you contol completely the server, including power on/off, bios access, share of virtual floppy/CD rom.
Depending of the level of remote control you need, you can select one or the other
