lc 2000 u3 - Seagate 36GB drives not detected

Just got an lc 2000 u3 from a company that was upgrading their servers & really looking forward to learning more on how to work with servers. The 3 original 18.2GB drives had been removed.
I picked up 4 Seagate ST336704LCV (I understand these drives are equiv. to the HPD9419A units?) Slid the drives in and cleared the old configuration. The drives spin up and light green, but don't seem to show up at all in ctrl-c and ctrl-m configs.. only the host adapter is listed.
Any help would be much appreciated.

Hi Walter,

Although there is no guaranty that non HP hard ddrives will perfectly work, you can try this

1.Update the servers BIOS to the latest
2. Update the firmware on the raid controller (If you have any)

Both can be downloaded from this link
