Is there any more recient?
I believe this one I have now is for a Proliant
7000.
What happens if I upgrade to a proliant 8000?
Thanks,Scott

Re: most recient bios for P6000
You are running the most recent BIOS for the PL 6000/7000 (that P43 version works on both server types).
Not quite sure what you mean about 'upgrading' to an 8000 - replacing your current 6000 with an 8000? All of these models are end of life with HP so sourcing parts for servers of this age gets tricky. If you are upgrading - buy something new rather than using an old server?

Re: most recient bios for P6000
The bios for ProLiant Servers is family dependant. (You have P43 and the 8000 is P41 or 42) You cannot safely mix the bios of one server line with another. The Bios should identify that the software does not belong on the server.
If you were to force the install somehow, the server would fail to boot.
