move old drive data to new smart array 6402 compaq ml350
I currently have a 146GB Hotswap SCSI drive with 2 "dynamic" partitions in a Compaq ML350 with Windows 2000 Server running in the cage on the motherboards scsi port 1.
I want to install a Smart Array 6402 with (2) additional 146GB Hotswap SCSI drives that I will build a 0+1 array from. I want to "Ghost" the current c-drive partition to the new array. I purchased an 80 pin to 68 pin converter for the current hotswap drive so the system can still see the c-drive after I install the array card and 2 drives.
Will Ghost 2003 or 9.0 see the array controller in Dos so I can migrate the data off the old drive to the new array?

Re: move old drive data to new smart array 6402 compaq ml350
I Asume that this is Symantec Ghost. And I never have anny problem ghosting on anny SCSI to SCSII drives. Only problem here is That You will Use Smart Array Controller. Iff You will ghosting smart array may not see the boot partition.
