need help with new hard drives
looking for step by step instructions for creating a raid 1+1 using 1 old hard drive, mirroring it to a new drive, then using the new drive to mirror to another new drive, and then adding a third new drive as a hot spare. do i need to format the drives first? or initialize them? as i don't want to lose the data from the older drive, how would i go about doing this?

Re: need help with new hard drives
Hi Jeremy
First of all you need to have smart array controller, then you need to use array configuration utility to migrate from Raid 0 to Raid 1 and configure hot spare. load the latest proliant support pack.
