Re: problems installing configuration proliant 1000
Jn:
Make sure there is no 3rd party hardware in the server , and try to minimize hardware in the server.
Try new set of floppyies; ; I am assuming you are using sp19619.exe the SCU or F10 partion to reconfigure the system.
When it restarts; that means that the SCU is not supported on that system from floppy because the server has Rom Based Setup utility RBSU on the Chip ; or there is hardware in the server that it dosenot like;
Please explaing exactly what server you are using example PL1600 etc. and the firmware on the box and what floppy and utility you are booting to.
Regards,
Tarek.

Re: problems installing configuration proliant 1000
HI,
iver tried to run the disks but that didnt have much result .
and i think now the problem could be that the wires rent connected at the right place.
and also for the jumper settings.
also when running the disks it says in what position the jumpers must be.
some of the jumpers displayed we can not find them at the mainboard.
maybe if there is a photo or blueprint how they must be set.
also where must the bay where the hardrive's go in must it be connected to the mainboard or to the arraycontroller.
and the jumpers on the harddisk how they must be connected. so the harddisk's wil have no failure.
i hope you have some good answers for me.
Thankyou
