proliant 760 with smart 6402
Get a POST error message after upgrading firmware on a 6402 that the 6402 EM should be upgraded to the same firmware. I think this is for the 2nd channel but it's not in use and I can't figure out how to disable it or upgrade the firmware since it's one controller. Any ideas?

Re: proliant 760 with smart 6402
Mary,
The 6402 with the EM module is actually two 2 channel controllers sharing the same PCI slot. In the Array configuration they would be listed as 2 different controllers. IF you have an os installed you can use the online firmware update if not you will need to go with the offline (which is used along with the Firmware maintenance CD)
Online ├в http://h18007.www1.hp.com/support/files/server/us/download/22234.html
Offline ├в http://h18007.www1.hp.com/support/files/server/us/download/22236.html
Firmware maintenance CD ISO - http://h18004.www1.hp.com/support/files/server/us/subscription/PSM_subscription

Re: proliant 760 with smart 6402
Part of the problem is I don't see it as two controllers; possibly because I don't have anything connected to the second. I did do the online firmware update but it only updated the one. Not sure if the offline would recognize the 2nd or not; I was downloading the maintenance cd yesterday. is there any way to disable the 2nd since we're not using it.
