tc2100 connecting to a switch

TC2100 with Windows 2000 Server.

When connecting tc2100 to a switch ( 3Com ??? Switch 8 (3C16794) ), the led in this port is flashing continually (even without network traffic) , and the connection speed to my server (from a station) is TOO low.

When connecting to a hub ( 3Com ??? OfficeConnect Dual Speed Hub 8) everything is working in order and FAST.

Thanks in advance

Re: tc2100 connecting to a switch

Are you using the correct driver? It should be from here:

You should not be using the default NIC driver for the OS.

Re: tc2100 connecting to a switch

I am facing the same problem. When i attach the server on a switch the port is flashing.

It has nothing to do with the drivers. This is happenining before I start Win2k.

Re: tc2100 connecting to a switch

I just noticed the following:
Even with the computer down (unplugged , without power!) the port in switch is FLASHING!
And the led of communication in back of the server, stays ON.
Is that means anything ?

Thanks again
