Logical Drive is queued for rebuilding

Greetings.

HP Smart Array P410 controller
RAID1+0
4 Physical Disks

Replaced one drive that was in "predictive failure" online. Several days later, the array still does not want to rebuild.

Status Alerts: (Ready for Recovery) Logical Drive 2 (1.8 TB, RAID 1+0) is queued for rebuilding.

I've attached a copy of the ADU.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Re: Logical Drive is queued for rebuilding

Hi there,

As per my personal experience on this issue, this could be due to some problem with logical drive or controller or hard drive from where its trying to rebuild... before we try anything I would suggest you to take complete backup.

Once backup is done.

Power Drain the server.

reseat all the hard drives (Offline)

ensure proper connections for hard drive, controller and cabling.

Turn the server On let controller be re-initialized... you may prompt to start the logical drive recovery process by pressing the F1 or F2 please start the recovery process.

monitor the rebuild process.

if it does not rebuild or stay at the same message, you may try updating server bios and Smart array controller firmware and again repeat the previous steps.

if does not help still ... recreate array and restore the backup.

Hope this helps,
