ProLiant DL380 G5 - RILOE II/iLO can't set domain name

installed:
hpasm-7.7.0-115.rhel3
hprsm-7.7.0-99.rhel3
hponcfg-1.6.0-1

Firmware Revision = 1.29 Device type = iLO 2 Driver name = cpqci

The following sets the DNS_NAME but won't change the DOMAIN_NAME value. No errors returned...


















Tried reinstalling hponcfg... Am I missing something?

You hae the "Get domain name from DHCP" setting set to YES. The DHCP response will overwrite the domain name you supplied. To prevent this, change the setting by substituting the following line into the script:

[whynot_1]
