Problem installing centos 5.9 from virtual drive

Hello,

I've installed ESX and Oracle UEK through the virtual drive in the past. I'm having an issue with installing centos 5.9. I choose the 5.9 iso from the virtual drive pull down menu and boot the server.

It goes through the normal installation process (loading vmlinuz, loading initrd.img, language choice, keyboard choice) then asks me "Installation Method". The choices are local cdrom, hard drive, nfs, ftp and http. I've never seen this for other installations. Am I not able to use the .iso that I've chosen via the virtual drive for the whole installation?

Thanks for any help,

Mike

If you select the local CDROM option, it doesn't work?

What iLO firmware version is this?

No, it doesnt work. It's checking the local cdrom (which is empty), not the virtual drive.

The ILO version is 3
