Reset Admin account HP Lights-Out 100 Remote Management Card

I have one of these for a ML150 G3 and another for ML110 G4. There appears to be very up to date little documentation or these devices.

I have attempted to log on to the web sites using the admin account specified in the (out of date) ML100 G2 documentation but failed. Is there a method of resetting the account password.
I tried
1) resetting the BIOS
2) using HPONCFG which only works on ILO2 cards
3) removing the card and reinstalling

try reseating the 100i with a previous firmware I think that can reseat also the 100i so will be able to use admin admin again

so apply 2.0 and after that apply 2.12 (A) again and try admin admin again

I think I did not explain very well myself

- it is downgrade the firmware to the oldest version available after that upgrade it again to the latest one available that shuo,d reseat the password and you will be able to use admin admin again

Karlo, thank you for your response, but I think I have found the problem my computer is running IE7 and apparently these cards have 'issues' with IE7.

Tried using a basic firefox install on my computer and the logon works but remote admin plug in fails.

Got further using IE6 installed on another system.

I see there appears to be an upgrade - "Firmware Upgrade for HP ProLiant ML150 G3 Lights-Out 100 Remote Management (For USB Key-Media)" and I will try that.

Ok the update appears to resolve the IE7 issues. Now I have to pursuade the boss to buy full license as the demo keys I downloaded last year! are out of date.

oh cool the firmware update fixed the issue with IE7

yes ilo is a good tool - monitoring a server from home ahhhh a little more relax ;-)
