connecting to ilo2 text console
Hi all,
As per the documents while connecting to ilo2 text console remotely (putty/ssh) by default it will connect to MP Main menu. Then we have to execute the SMCLP command to get the smclp prompt. After that if we want to go back to the main menu we need to execute the "start /map1/textredirectsap1" command. But in my case after connecting by default i m getting the SMCLP prompt. Then i tried to execute the command to go back to the main menu. But the command fails to run giving the output of "invalide target". Pls help me.
Thanks in advance.

Re: connecting to ilo2 text console
To start text Console in Proliant iLO2. Telnet/ssh into iLO. You will see an iLO prompt. Type textcons, this will bring int he text console.
To exit out of Text Console. Hit "esc + ("
or the esc and shift 9.

Re: connecting to ilo2 text console
Looks like your version of iLO fw does not support textcons. Update iLO to 1.50 or later. Prefer 1.70. Make sure to update your system rom, too.
