In case anyone is still following this thread, there is a bug (maybe working as designed) in the hponcfg utility, that resets the license when it resets the iLO to factory defaults (hponcfg /reset). The caveat is that hponcfg must be run inside the OS (and OS must have the proper HP drivers installed to access the iLO).

Forgot part 2, sorry. You can also reset the license by logging into the iLO via ssh and issuing the following command:
delete /map1 license

This way you don't lose all your other settings.
