HP SIM Suspend/resume monitoring for blackout

Hello,

 I want to suspend monitoring indefinitely with  with  attribute monitoring=”suspend”, after that i should resume monitoring with attribute monitoring=”resume”. In my case suspend monitoring works, but when I want to resume, the script has no effect(script output does not have any errors.), host is still suspended from monitoring.

Systems Insight Manager 6.3 - Windows      Build version:C.06.03.00.00

My resume. xml contain:

<?xml version="1.0" encoding="windows-1252"?>
   <node-list>
      <node  name="host" host-name="host" monitoring="resume">
    <managementpath-list />
      </node>
   </node-list>

mxnode -mf resume.xml

Node has been added/modified:host

Any ideas?

Thank you!

Same issue here. Any resolution yet? Quite dangerous if you rely on it...

Re: HP SIM Suspend/resume monitoring for blackout

I am seeing the same thing - I think it worked prior to 6.3 - I had it working in May/June, but now it will only process one modification a day - if I suspend today at 5pm for 15 min, I cannot run a resume, but it will come out of Maintenance Mode as it is supposed to.  WHen I come in tomorrow it will work once, but then no more modifications until the next day will take affect.  This is only through CLI - GUI works fine.
