linux on presario 907e

I can't install any version and pub of linux on my notebook . I've try with most popular distribution (Slack 8.1, Mandrake 9, Debian 3rc1, Suse 8, and more)
How system linux i'd use for compaq presario 907e?

Inizializing PC Card and crash.At the start!
With Red Hat 8, I arrived at the source select (cd-rom or HD)but later don't go on.

Are you trying to use a pcmcia boot disk? If not, many notebook users have to install by typing

linux nopcmcia

at the boot: prompt.

Hello, i have this problem with Pavilion ze4222 notebook.
Impossible install linux system (RH8.0, Mnadrake 9, conectiva 8.0, Suse) !
Only Knoppix demo cdrom version run....but the modem not recognized. :-(

Also for me english problem...! Ciao
