Getting error while running pwunconv on HP-UX 11.11

Hi,

I have a box in which OS is HP-UX 11.11 and having shadow password file in place as well. I have to get the /etc/passwd file back as the previous version (before shadow conversion).

When I run the pwunconv command, I am getting following error:-

Unable to copy /etc/ptmp over /etc/passwd! Aborting.

Please help.

ll /etc/ptmp

Please post.

There may be a problem with the permissions on that file and you may need to rm -f the file
