ISEE port

hi,
which ports are used by ISEE client and server SPOP?
We have several clients configures on DMZ network
Can I use alternative ports, instead default ports?

thanks a lot!

Re: ISEE port

Hi,

ISEE Clients send data to the SPOP (or directly to HP) using port 80, this is http protocol and cannot be changed.

The SPOP (if you have one) sends data to HP over port 443, this is https standard protocol and once again, this cannot be changed.

So, if you have Clients in a DMZ, you'll need to open port 80 (outbound with established back) to the SPOP.

There are other "optional" applications such as UDN, telnet, ftp, SMTP which may require additional ports. Please refer to the SPOP Install & Upgrade Guide for more info.

Hope this helps,

Re: ISEE port

Since we cannot open port 80 (for security reason), than we cannot install ISEE client on server in DMZ.
Is it correct?

thanks

Re: ISEE port

That's correct. ISEE Clients must be able to send incidents to the Server (either SPOP or HP Backend) through port 80.

Re: ISEE port

requires permission of entrance and exit or only of exit?
