Install openssl certificates on HPUX 11.31

Hi,

I have recieved a request to install certificates for ssl on a HPUX server, I have never done this on and HPUX server before. I have the following files:

Certs for the server:

c1.ser.nica.key

c1.ser.nica.csr

c1.ser.nica.out.cer

And the CA:

CA_root.cer

CA_subroot.cer

Looking out in the HPUX server it has it's certs in .pem format in:

#/opt/openssl/certs

And in /opt/openssl/private the private keys also un .pem format.

I have converted the .cer files to .pem, but where should I place each file?, with what names?.

Do i Have to replace the c1.ser.nica.out.pem I have converted to host.pem so it uses it by default?.

Very lost rigth now.

Thanks!

Seems the right place.

On Linux it's /etc/ssl/.  And CAs are in /usr/share/ca-certificates/ and symlinked into /etc/ssl/.

Also on Linux, these certificates are hashed using c_rehash.

I see the c_rehash program on HP-UX but it doesn't seem be used?

Those names should be fine, as long as they end in .pem or .crt.

Just one observation...

You must consider also, "ssl certs for ssl", okay, but what is for?  program?

The Apache web server, for example, uses its our configuration with files places setting up. So, check out the application and the digital certifications use.

regards
