Login failure to SIM 3.4 on T64 5.1B3 Enhanced Sec.

Hi!
Just installed Insight Manager 3.4 on a Tru64 5.1B-3 server. We're running it with Enhanced Security enabled. When I try to log in to SIM I just get a message box with "Login failed".
In /opt/hp/hpsmh/logs/smh.log it says "User:xxxxxx from xx.xx.xx.xx was DENIED access to System Management Homepage" regardless if I type the right password or not.


So, I tried to switch to securite mode to "Base", and everything works fine!

We,re running SIM 3.3 on other servers with Tru64 5.1B-2 and Enhanced Security without problems.

It's a bug in the Insight Manager. I think the Insight Manager people are working on a fix, but don't expect it any time soon. You've got a few options:
- don't use Enhanced Security
- don't use Insight Manager
- Go back to Insight Manager 3.3 (but I don't know if this would work on 5.1B-3)
- open a problem report aganst Insight Manager 3.4 with HP
If you open a problem report against Insight Manager 3.4, don't let HP convince you that opening up the permissions on the Enhanced Security database files is an acceptable workaround. This would be removing most of the extra security you gained by going to Enhanced Security in the first place.

I installed SIM 3.3 and it seems works fine on 5.1B-3 Enhanced Sec.

I'll use SIM 3.3 while I'm waiting for a bug fix for 3.4.
