Migrating to trusted system

Hi all,

I have 10 servers running HPUX-10.20 that
will be changed into L2000 servers.

I'd like to take this opportunity to
convert the brand new systems onto trusted
systems.

They will be used mainly for SAP/Oracle.

Are there any potential problems that I
should be aware of?

Many thanks,

Dan

Dan,

There is no problem, but added security for your own good.
Disable auditing log to avoid a large log file.

Re: Migrating to trusted system

Thanks Chris,

Do you personally manage a production SAP/Oracle trusted
base to be so affirmative?

Re: Migrating to trusted system

Dan,

I personally manage a production Oracle Financial/Oracle trusted base and there is no problem?

But don't forget that whith HPUX 10.20 you can't have trusted mode and NIS simultaneously.
Only HPUX 11 support both NIS+ and trusted mode.

Re: Migrating to trusted system

Thanks Patrice,

As all systems will be running 11.0, NIS
isn't an issue.

Re: Migrating to trusted system

Dan,

NIS+ is not NIS, be sure to run NIS+ ...
