HP-UX 11.11, Bastille B.3.0.31
I just installed Bastille and have a quick question about running it for the first time. I want to "Run "bastille --assess" to report on the status of the system" (no updates). Do I still need to "run Bastille interactively to create a configuration profile" before I can generate the report?
Thanks!

Solution
Shalom,
Yes, you need to run Batille interacrtively to get the report.
However if you check the man page there may be a way to get a basic report off the command line.

Re: Running Bastille for the first time
Short answer to the original question is no, running the interactive client to generate the initial config is not required to run Bastille. As suggested, I used the command line and got what I was after. Just ran "/opt/sec_mgmt/bastille/bin/bastille --assessnobrowser". Took about 5 seconds to complete. Results then found in "/var/opt/sec_mgmt/bastille/log/Assessment".
Thanks!
