Tru64- Security Level

Please let me know what is the Advantage and disadvantage of selecting Enhanced Level of Security instead of Base Level of Security.

For Eg) Minimum resource required to have Enhanced Level Security.

Check out http://h30097.www3.hp.com/docs/base_doc/DOCUMENTATION/V51B_HTML/ARH95ETE/PPNHNCDS.HTM to learn more about 'Enhanced' security in Tru64 UNIX.

Hi,

Enhanced SECUREITY IS C2 leve securety, you can have more control on the users and it rights. You have the password aging option, secure database of the password, etc.

Re: Tru64- Security Level

Slight correction :) Enhanced Security has sufficient options so that it can be configured to the C2 level of security, just enabling Enhanced Security does not guarantee you C2 level security. There's much more information in the document BLV gave the pointer to.

Re: Tru64- Security Level

Hi guys,

If I have a TruCluster-Oracle(single instance with CAA) environment and only have the default tru64 and oracle users, I need to use enhanced security and ACL? or maybe try to secure the database using Oracle's features?

Thanks a lot
