Trusted Mode versus SMSE - Auditing configuration, config files, and auditing commands

Assuming that there are differences between the AUDITing sub-system logging configurations, their respective config files, and what they require for query/report commands...

 

Could someone point me to a doc (working link) that might discuss the details as to what's changed and/or stayed the same?
