Where to find Interner Express (IX)

Hello, I have an Alpha Server ES40 with Tru64 Unix V5.1B and I want to use our central LDAP Directory. I've read about Internet Express but I can't locate it in none of the OS CDs even if we have a support agreement for DECCAMPUS software.
Dos anyone know how to obtain Internet Express (the LDAP module for System Autthentication)?
Thanks

Re: Where to find Interner Express (IX)

Perhaps I'm a little dumb but I've already visited these links and I can download OpenLDAP server, Apache, Firefox, Thunderbird, Internet Monitor and the patches but not the Internet Express itself, and not the LDAP Module for authentication.
Someoan have told me that was in the OS disks but I can't see it there.

Or, perhaps not. I found a pair of Internet
Express 6.0 CD-ROMs from 2002 with one of my
Tru64 kits (plain V5.1B), but nothing newer.
I assumed (always dangerous) that everything
was now available for download, but if it's
true, it's not obvious what's where.

I have also this box but not Internet Express CD there.
The 5.1B box of your OS was delivered with the hardware or was an update?

Re: Where to find Interner Express (IX)

The label on the box says:
QB-6CYAA-MB 5.1B TRU64 UNIX NON-COMMERC UPG/CD

It was an upgrade Non-Commerical Tru64 kit,
not associated with a machine.

The Internet Express stuff is listed as
AI-RNWUF-BE (Int Exprs CD Assly Upg %3NCAA).

The cover letter says:

[...]
o Internet Express for Tru64 UNIX CD-ROM

Internet Express for Tru64 UNIX (formerly
Open Source Internet Solutions) provides
commonly used Internet software, which has
been compiled and configured to run on Tru64
UNIX AlphaServer systems.
[...]

A loose card listing the CD-ROMs in the kit
mentions "Open Source Software Collection for
HP Tru64 UNIX", which, I assume, refers to
the Internet Express kit. (It doesn't seem
to refer to anything else in there.) It
sounds as if all this stuff is freeware from
somewhere or other which they got built (and,
perhaps, tested a little). It might be
almost as easy to find the current sources
and do all the work yourself.

They seem to have spent more time and effort
replacing "Compaq" with "hp" than they spent
on the actual content of the kit and its
documentation.

If you'd like CD images of the "version 6.0
december 2002" CD-ROMs I have, send some
e-mail to sms@antinode-info (more or less).

You could also try asking HP, but I don't
know if you'll be able to find anyone who
knows anything about Tru64. (I get the
impression that there are about as many
people working on Tru64 now as there are
working on Apollo Domain/OS.)

Re: Where to find Interner Express (IX)

Well thanks for your reply, my box is from a DECCAMPUS update, here in Spain I'm not able to request all the available upgrades. I have the Open Source CDs but I've not found Internet Express in them.
I'll tray to contact HP and request the Internet Express CD update QB-3NCAA-MA that I've found searching for your CD product number, but I agree with you that Tru64 is nearly dead and in Spain even the sales people don't know nothing about.
Thanks for your offer of the image but since the actual version of Internet Express is 6.7 or 6.8 I'll try to get it.

Re: Where to find Interner Express (IX)

As you discovered, some of the Internet Express components are available for download, but not all of them. For those that aren't, it's necessary to find the CD. The latest version is 6.8, released in June of this year.
