how to setup ssh, sftp and scp

Hi,

I have a Tru64 box running without ssh. How do I set it up such that I use sftp or scp?

For that matter, how do I setup ssh?

There's a need to ftp some files to another system running windows. What needs to be installed the windows machine?

Any advice is much appreciated. :)

Thanks in advance.

:)

Re: how to setup ssh, sftp and scp

For windows you can use putty, it's a free ssh/scp/sftp client. Search it in google.

You can obtain SSH from here:

http://h30097.www3.hp.com/unix/ssh/

Documentation available on the same page.

As Ivan mentioned putty is a good ssh for Windows.

A lot of other UNIX OS'es use OpenSSH. You may want to consider using that which can be found at:

Tru64 UNIX V5.1B comes with ssh/sftp/scp, you just need to enable it. See the Security Administration manual.

There is a version of ssh/sftp/scp available for download from HP for Tru64 UNIX V5.1A. See: http://h30097.www3.hp.com/unix/ssh/
