user migration

hi team,

In our tru64 box, we have 560 users (base system). we are going to migrate base to enhanced security. if i change any settings in /etc/auth/system/default, is it afect the existing user also? or we need to convert the users base to enhanced. if convert means, what is the command to convert the users base to enhanced?

Thanks in advance

Re: user migration

See the Security Administration manual and the "default" man page.

The process to enable Enhanced Security on your system will also migrate your existing users to the Enhanced Security database.

The settings in a user's individual Enhanced Security profile take precedence. If there is no entry for the setting in the user's profile, then the entry for the setting in the template set in the user's profile (if any) is used. If there is no template in the user's profile, or the template does not contain an entry for the setting, the entry in the default file is used.
