Cluster Proliant with win 2003 starts ok but is a Network low speed
The server starts ok but inmeditly after the start login on windows the public network went down to 100mbits instead of 1 gigabit , but the private lan syncronize the nodes works at 1gigabit the switch is 1 gigabit capable and works fine with other Proliant servers only happend with the public las of the server that error .
Works fine in 100mbits but I want to work also in 1 gigabit I change the cable fot UTP cat 6 and the distance is le of 20 meters ????

Re: Cluster Proliant with win 2003 starts ok but is a Network low speed
John,
Don't use auto negotiation. Set 10Mb/s half duplex for heart bit (private) and set public network NICs to the highest setting supported by the switch(es). As for the cables - you should check if your network hardware supports error logging, then take a look at them. Alternatively, use some network testing hardware to make sure cabling is good enough.
