DL380 G3 Packaged Cluster / Win2k Issue
Has anyone else seen this error:
After maybe six months of normal operation, the event log starts reporting Event ID 50 with the following error info:
{Lost Delayed-Write Data} The system was attempting to transfer file data from buffers to \Device\HarddiskVolume2. The write operation failed, and only some of the data may have been written to the file.
Configuration is as follows: packaged cluster with Win2k Advanced Server(SP4) and Lotus Domino. Windows Clustering is not enabled. There are 10 physical drives in the cluster box, 2 arrays, each with 5 x 146 Gb drives in a RAID5 ADG, 2 logical partitions total (one on each array). Drives 1,2,3,4,5 are attached to port 1. Drives 8,9,10,11,12 are attached to port 2. Firmware is 1.70.
The array accelerator is present and the cache is enabled. In Windows, each of the logical arrays has write cache enabled.
The DL380s see both logical drives with the same drive letters. Ie. Both DL380's see DATA1 volume as d:\ and DATA2 volume as e:\.
This one has us stumped, so any help would be appreciated!

Re: DL380 G3 Packaged Cluster / Win2k Issue
Hello Michael
As you have mentioned you have not enabled Windows Cluster, can you please brief how the storage is configured for the server. as i have doubt you cannot have same volume connected to both the server. i suggest connect DATA1 to server(A) and DATA2 to Server(B).
Regards
Robin
