Infiniband Switch
i have hp 4x DDR Gen 2 infiniband switch,
can we use this switch for RHEL cluster without first configure it using openSM.
anyway i have no idea what is actually to configure using openSM.
if someone ever configure this switch using openSM,please share some info

Hello -
A subnet manager is required to manage and control an InfiniBand fabric.
OpenSM is a host-based subnet manager that runs on a server connected to the InfiniBand fabric. Mellanox OFED software stack includes OpenSM for Linux.
See this DOC Chapter 10.
