Welcome! CMU status as of July 2010
Welcome to the CMU forum! We hope that this forum will provide constructive 2-way communication between CMU users and developers. As a CMU developer, I am interested in feedback from users on what what they like and what they would like to see from CMU in future releases. I am also interested to hear how CMU is being used, particularly tips and tricks that users have employed that might be useful to others.
The current release is CMU v4.2, available since March 2010. There are a couple of patches that have been posted for this kit: a scalable diskless patch, a UID on/off patch for lo100i servers, a RHEL4 cloning patch, and a G7 support patch. Everything is available from the CMU ITRC location.
We are targeting a CMU v4.3 release sometime in the fall. We have been busy enhancing CMU with new features including Autoyast support and customizable menu options, as well as new hardware support.
Best regards,
--Chris
