Solution
hi
Possible though tedious ...
1/migrate from Compaq Insight manager 5.5 to Insight Manger 7 sp2.3
see here : http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bc/docs/support/SupportManual/c00307416/c00307416.pdf
2/To migrate from Insight Manager 7 to HP Systems insight Manager 4.2 :
see here : http://h10018.www1.hp.com/wwsolutions/misc/hpsim-helpfiles/hpsim_migrating_IM7.pdf
3/To migrate from HP SIM 4.2 to 5.0.2 :
-download the HP SIM 5.0.2 kit and run install. The upgrade is seamless.
Doc on HP SIM : http://h18013.www1.hp.com/products/servers/management/hpsim/infolibrary.html#b4
I wonder if it wouldn't simplier to reinstall a brand new server with the latest version of HP SIM. Besides Hardware requierements have changed a lot from CIM 5.5 to HP SIM 5.0
Best regards
