ProLiant 1600 NT4Srv Correctable Memory Errors
I have a ProLiant 1600 with Windows NT Server 4 SP6 and PSP 6.30. On the Insight Manager console I receive traps informing that memory module 3 has exceeded its threshold of correctable errors.
I run Diagnostics for Windows 4.11 doing all memory tests and I had no errors.
I can also see the errors in IML and in Windows Event Viewer(Event ID: 4208 - Source: SysMgmt). In the IML in the last year the error came 6 times, always for memory module 3.
The question is this: what do I have to trust, the IML or the diagnostics? Do I have to replace the module?
TIA
Ale

Re: ProLiant 1600 NT4Srv Correctable Memory Errors
That error was registered in Insight Manager for one of my servers and it turn out to be legit. It is not your memory that's bad orgoing bad, It's the slot that is seated in. I placed a support call to HP and they replaced the board. I would suggest you do the same.
