Re: BMC IPMI Watchdog timeout:Action = System Reset ILO2 firmware and ILO2 Management Controller driver
There are a ton of threads on this. Just search on "event 57 hpqilo2".
Basically it's a problem with ILO2 firmware prior to 1.78 and HP ilo management controller driver prior to 1.12. If you upgrade to the latest of those, ideally that fixes the problem but it doesn't work for everyone it seems (myself included).
The other options are to disable ASR (no more reboots) and HP also has a doc that states you should reset ILO (or unplug power from the server for a minute) to guaranty that the fix takes effect: http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/Document.jsp?lang=en&cc=us&objectID=c01939665&prodTypeId=15351&prodSeriesId=1121516
Some have even suggested double checking device manager in windows to be absolutely certain that the driver reflected for ILO is actually 1.12 or newer. Some say the VCA will show it updated but it's not actually being used in windows as evidenced in device manager.
Good luck.
