Hello, when I use the Connect-HPEBIOS on G9 and G10 all fine. However on G8 it is mandatory to use the ClientLoggedInUserPassword parameter. Our servers host ESXi OS and frankly I don't know what to pass there as parameter or how to get rid of that mandatory parameter! Any hint? I searched and googled but found zero. In one pdf HPE states that the parameter is only required when a server is on WinPE bios.
Solved! Go to Solution.

Re: Connect-HPEBIOS on G8 with ESXi on it
Hello
After checking your query I noticed that this issue is so far not reported by any of customer's worldwide for Gen8 units.
Hence we request you to please log a support case with our team in order to get this issue technically isolated and resolved.
Regards
HPE Services.

SolutionHi,
BIOS cmdlets for Gen8 work either on windows host or WinPE environment, since your host is a ESXi it is unable to connect to it.
For more information please refer BIOS User Guide
