HTTPS and ssh on a ProLiant DL140 G2

Hi

I have telnet and http access to the remote management interface on a DL140 G2 and according to this page:

http://h18013.www1.hp.com/products/servers/management/remotemgmt/lightsout100/index-g1.html

There is a:

* Technology preview of industry standard Secure Socket Layer (SSL) support for browsers and Secure Shell (SSH) for command line interface

But I can't see how to find or use this technology preview -- any suggestions?

I have upgreded the BIOS to Firmware Version 1.25

Thanks

Re: HTTPS and ssh on a ProLiant DL140 G2

Hi Chris,

The SSL and SSH options will be available only if the Advance Pack or Select Pack is installed.

Check the section - Using Integrated Lights-Out 100i - SSH Overview:

Raj.

Re: HTTPS and ssh on a ProLiant DL140 G2

LO100i info: http://h18013.www1.hp.com/products/servers/management/remotemgmt/lightsout100i/index.html

Correct, SSH is a licensed feature for LO100i:
Advanced: http://h30094.www3.hp.com/product.asp?sku=2996624
Select: http://h30094.www3.hp.com/product.asp?sku=2996621

Assuming that you have a license installed, you should be able to access the processor using a standard SSH client like PuTTY:
