ILO LDAP authentication with Windows2003

I'm trying to configure ILO to authenticate against Active directory of Windows2003. It seems I have a problem during SSL secure channel negotiation.

Does anyone know if ILO does also support Windows2003? It seems that Windows2003 uses TLS instead of SSL. I also rwad something about installing a certificate. Do I have to install a certificate on de Windows2003 DC in order to get LDAP over SSL to work?

Re: ILO LDAP authentication with Windows2003

I have iLO LDAP working just fine in a pure 2003 environment. The DC must have a certificate to communiate on port 636 (LDAP over SSL). I would suggest you install the Microsoft CA.

Re: ILO LDAP authentication with Windows2003

Try using the iLO directory tests. There is a link from the Directory Settings page. The tests will confirm if the problem is related to SSL if the certificate is bad or SSL cannot be negotiated.

Re: ILO LDAP authentication with Windows2003

This issue is solved. For me it is strange that a CA should be installed before LDAP over SSL can be used. I think Microsoft should support self-signed or third-party certificates.

Thanks for you help!
