ILO Port not accessible

hi...
we are having DL380 Server running LINUX. i am not able to connect ILO port through windows machine on same network. i am even not able to ping ILO Port. Please tell me, what are possible reason behind this.
1) For ping failure, i can understand that cable may be not connected properly to ILO Port or may be issue with ILO card/port

what could be other chances???

Re: ILO Port not accessible

What is generation of DL380 you have? This is going to tell me if you have iLO-1, iLO2 or iLO3.

If you restart the server, do you see during POST a message mentioning iLO and asking to press F8 to configure it?

We are having DL 380 g5 SERVER. ILO Version is 2.

Re: ILO Port not accessible

Make sure that the switchport that your ILO is connected to is running at 10/100.

Although the on board NICs support Gig speed, the ILO doesn't.

Re: ILO Port not accessible

Go to the iLO2 RBSU by pressing F8 when iLO2 is announced during POST and then ensure that iLO2 NIC is set to ON instead of Shared Network Port and Transceiver Speed Autoselect is ON as well.
