i'm trying to configure the ILO of a ProLiant DL380 G5 server and upon bootup, it gives me the error - Integrated Lights out configuration temporarily unavailable (1). There are no F8 button whatsoever and the ILO is not responding to the online configuration scripts. Upgrading the firmware didn't help either since it just hangs during extraction. No error messages in windows, only the one during bootup. Any thoughts?

Solution
One thing to do is fairly heavy handed, but offers some hope.
Unplug the box, open the chassis, and remove the 3V coin battery. This battery preserves the configuration data and event logs for iLO and for the host. Wait 10 or more minutes before replacing the battery and reconnecting the system.
If this works, the host and iLO will both be "reset to defaults". Also check that you are running the current system ROM and iLO firmware.
