while remotely troubleshooting a Proliant server which is hanging at startup I've tried to disable several devices in BIOS settings.
I'm using iLO to do so.
However I've also disabled the USB controllers and it seems that iLO relies on USB for any keyboard interaction via remote console.
The server itself runs Linux which hangs in boot process.
So now I have no access to BIOS settings to switch USB back on and I can't access the Server via SSH either as it's not fully booting.
Does anyone have an idea how to re-enable USB and keyboard to be able to access the server via remote console again?
Thanks a lot,
vitaminx

Then, reboot the server.

Re: Locked myself out of remote console / BIOS
Magic! this actually switched the USB controllers back on.
Thanks a lot, learned something new :)
Could you please explain what exactly the XML scripts do and what the name/value pairs mean? Is there a reference somewhere?
Thank you
