Remote install Linux through i-Lo2 on DL360 G5

Hey guys, with i-lo2's lack of remcons, how am I supposed to install linux on a cold box via ssh?
(Without calling into a windows machine and using internet explorer to access Ilo?)

So You do not have ILO2 advanced license ? Or What You mean by "i-lo2's lack of remcons"?

I have the advanced license, I-lo2 doesn't have remcons, which I used with i-lo 1

Over SSH you have to use VSP. By default VSP is setup to use com2 so you'll have to use console=ttyS1 to get the console output from Linux.

You don't have to use a Windows system to run the browser based iLO2 interface. Firefox running on Linux works fine using the java based remote console.

Thanks, I'll give you points, but the vsp properly configured in grub.conf and /etc/rc.local hangs halfway through boot. I even tried enabling software based flow control. I just can't get to a login prompt.
