SNMP Monitoring of PCI cards and Serial Ports on ProLiant Gen9 Servers

G'day,

I'm in the process of learning how SNMP monitoring works and setting it up for a couple of DL380's and a DL360 server.

I've setup the iLOv4's and I have PRTG running. I've already setup a number of SNMP items which are being successfully monitored.

My question is, is there any monitoring I can setup for the serial ports on the servers or for PCI cards that are installed in them?

I have some devices connected to the serial ports and would like to known things like if data flow stops, if there is a fault with the comm port, etc.

I also have a PCI card installed in one of the servers which is receiving video along with some other signals and it would be good to know if a fault occurs with the card.

Cheers

Dave

Hi Dave

Any luck with this? I have the same problem.

I want to be notified if one of the ports is down on my PCI card.

Thanks
