Searching for used license keys in our environment.
Is there any way to do a network based search through all of our licenses to see if a particular license has been used previously or not (currently active). We're not sure if we used a license and then put an additional license on top of the first one, but we're not sure if/how we can search currently installed licenses (maybe through Insight Manager?)...
Any help would be appreciated!

Re: Searching for used license keys in our environment.
There is a way to find this information in the HP Systems Insight Manager server. We store this information for our company. It is some sort of report. I will do some calling around and try to determine just how to set it up and I will let you know.

Re: Searching for used license keys in our environment.
Okay if you generate a new report in SIM then this can be done. Select "All Systems" for the target devices. Then on Step 2: Specify Parameters select the [+] General then select [+] System License Information. Under this category you will see "License Key" select this and any other option that you want for your report and you are done. Hope this helps.

Re: Searching for used license keys in our environment.
hi Mike,
If you connect via SSH to each iLO processor and run:
show /map1 license
it will return the key in use.
This link might help you to enumerate all of the ilo processors on your network first:
