What is the difference between HP ProLiant iLO 2 Management Controller Driver and HP iLO Management Channel Interface Driver?

Channel interface driver is the one that allows the OS to communicate with iLO2. Example. HPONCFG and SMH use this driver.

Management driver on the other hand, is the one that allows the HP agents to gather all the server sensors data (or health data) via the iLO2 KCS interface. The watchdog for the ASR feature also goes through this driver.

Are both drivers also available for the following operating systems?

SLES 10/11 (with HP SNMP agents)
VMware ESX 3.5 / 4.0 / 4.1 (with HP SNMP agents)
VMware ESXi 3.5 / 4.0 / 4.1 (with HP CIM providers)
