Agentless Monitoring for GEN 7/8 Servers.

Dear all, I am trying configure agentless monitoring for hp DL380P Gen 8 server.  I didn't install any of the HP agents on the machine. The server is running RHEL 6.x. I have configured the ILO SNMP settings, with the Read Community, Trap Community and SNMP Alert Destinations.

1. When I try the Send Test Alert. It doesn't work.

2. I see a Major error trap in the HP SIM page.

I am using HP SIM 7.2 (Windows ed).  Please help to configure the agent less monitoring on this server.

AMS needs to be configured for the same with snmp.

I configured AMS. After discovering the ILO, the system is discovered using its serial #, instead of Name. 

I tried to install AMS on the machine, by Configure -> Configure or Repair agents. It failed w/o any information. When I click Identify the server, it skips.

The problem was with the ILO. I suspected if the ILO was hung, I reset the iLO and it fixed the problem.
