Alerts & Events for scsi downshift Event ID 24683

I would like Insight Manager to provide an email alert when the below problem Event ID 24683 occurs.
At the moment this is not picked up as an event in Insight Manager. I have looked at creating a new Event Task but not sure about the MIB to use. Do i need a custom MIB to get Insight to pick this up ?

Dispite all efforts to stop this event it still occurs so would like to be alerted to it.

have you tried picking it up as an unregistered event, given that the insight storage agents are picking it up in the first place.

i am now getting the unregistered events which i can create and email alert for.

I seem to be getting quite a few unregistered events now. See below.

These all seem to relate to cpqgen.mib, does this mean that my cpqgen.mib is out of date as i have one on the server but it is the default one which was installed along with Insight Manager. ?

hi,

these are for netapp.rim,compaq and hp respectively.


the hp one is from tapealert.mib
netapp network-appliance.mib
rim - blackberryserver.mib
unfortunately can't seem to find the compaq one with reference to trap id 11014.

I have enabled Unregistered events but this doesnt pickup the downshift either which i find surprising given that it is reported my CPQCisse
