Application Monitoring

Hey all,

Is there a way to monitor application like SQL and such through HP SIM?

Not really, for Windows servers you can monitor services for stop/start/restart but that's about it. You configure that using the HP Management Agents GUI.
For App monitoring you'd need to look at something like Nagios.
