Basic SNMP Question
What is basically TRAP Destination? for SNMP.
What I did is I point my HP-SIM on this one.
But later on I will install another Management Software like MOM. In that case I have to add my MOM hostname if I want to enable trapping for MOM. Is it correct?
Please if you can help me to clarrify this.

Re: Basic SNMP Question
Trap destination just defines which host to send SNMP traps to when certain
conditions apply.
If you add another monitoring software you will add new server name as destination.
BTW, Microsoft MOM use SNMP traps only to monitor non-Windows devices:
http://support.microsoft.com/?id=555455
MOM server monitor Windows computers by using MOM agent (agent communicate with MOM server by port 1270)
You can use "HP Server Management Packs for MOM 2005" as well

P.S.
