Can't collect contract and warranty data for some systems

On several but not all servers we cannot get the contract and warranty data. When we select the servers and run -> Options / Contract and warranty data collection we get this error:

Could not obtain contract and/or warranty data for the system. Additional information regarding the problem is shown below. no valid credentials key pair was found - could not apply any precedence rule - please check the incident/request properties for valid credentials key pair.

Any ideas?

I Chiristopher,
I'm not sure, but I think sim use ssh to get this information. Have you configure ssh between CMS and the managed system?

I have the following management protocols installed on all of our servers: HTTP:, SMH:2.0, SNMP:1.0. All other functions of the management agents are working correctly, Version Control Agent, SMH, etc.

All SNMP traps and permissions are configured correctly.

ANy other ideas?

SSH is not used.

Check if the serial number of the server part number is collected being reported.
Not all servers are able to report this from the BIOS and the warranty collection needs it I believe.

I had this same error, what i did to correct this is made these fields are enter:

Product ID

Customer Defined Serial Number (Serial number)

Entitlement Type (usallyr is SAID)

The servers that failed for us were missing the product ID. Once I supplied that through Edit system properties, they all worked fine.

Funny, After the upgrade I do not see the selection on my options menu.

There are a few other threads covering this.
But first have you run the Remote Support Manager on the HPSIM Server. Run using the icon and then follow the configuration screens.

The integration into HPSIM is not available until this step is complete.

The problem is that these server are reporting the correct serial number.

It is only happening to our DL360 G3 servers. (there are 12 of them) G2's, G4's, G4p's and G5's are all working correctly.

Any ideas?

It's not the serial number, as Rancher said it's the Product ID or Part number.

This is available in the newer servers, I'm not sure if this is dependent on having the latest BIOS or not but you could also check that.
Run a report from HPSIM and select the Product ID, if it's blank you will not have warranty data to match.
